Arajet consolidates itself as the leading Dominican airline, moving more than 80,000 passengers in the first quarter of 2023

SANTO DOMINGO - Since the start of its operations, Arajet has transported nearly 180,000 people throughout its route network. As a result, it is launching a promotion of $9.99 to travel to its 17 destinations until March 2024. 

 

According to the aviation report published by the Civil Aviation Board, which reviews transportation figures in the Dominican Republic during January, February, and March of 2023, Arajet transported more than 80,000 passengers in the first quarter of the year, positioning itself as the number one Dominican airline, followed by SkyHigh with over 20,000 passengers and Air Century with almost 12,000. 

 

Arajet operates flights to 17 destinations in 11 countries in North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean. Since entering the market on September 15, 2022, it has transported almost 180,000 passengers throughout its route network. Arajet plans to continue strengthening its offerings and services by offering new routes to South America, the United States, and Canada, allowing it to transport more than 300,000 passengers by the end of the year and enter the top 10 airlines that transport the most passengers in the Dominican Republic. 

 

To celebrate this milestone, Arajet launched a promotion on its website from today until Sunday, April 23, with tickets for $9.90 per one-way journey to travel from each of its 17 destinations to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to fly from May 10 to March 3, 2024 (excluding taxes and fees). 

 

Arajet plans to increase its fleet from 5 to 10 new Boeing 737MAX8 aircraft in the coming months, as well as opening new routes, which will enable more tourists to enter the Dominican Republic. Additionally, since April 20, Arajet will allow the use of Visa and Mastercard credit cards for onboard purchases on all its flights. Dominican pesos and cash dollars will continue to be accepted without restrictions.
