WILLEMSTAD - The agenda for the celebration of Carnival 2023 has been announced. The opening ceremony will be held on Saturday 7 January.  

The Tumba festival will take place on January 14 and the queen, prince, and pancho will be chosen on the weekend of January 20 to 22. The youth parade is on February 12, followed by the teen parade on February 17. The big parade is on February 19 and the farewell parade is on February 21. The closing parade is on February 25.  

It is the first time in two years that the festivities surrounding the celebration of Carnival can take place in Curaçao again. In recent years, the party has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
