Tropical wave moves towards the Caribbean region

WILLEMSTAD - A disturbance is developing above the Atlantic Ocean near the Cape Verde Islands, as reported by the National Hurricane Center. 

The area is expected to move westward. According to the National Hurricane Center, weather conditions are favorable for it to develop into a hurricane. The disturbance is accompanied by heavy showers and thunderstorms. The chance of this weather system developing into a hurricane within a week is 30 percent. 

If the tropical wave continues on its current path, there is a high likelihood that the Caribbean region will experience the effects of this disturbance. 

Furthermore, tropical storm Sean is moving across the Atlantic Ocean. According to the Meteorological Service of Curaçao, this is the nineteenth tropical storm of the season. The weather service mentions that it is monitoring all weather systems closely.
