WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Justice, Mr. Shalten Hato, has instructed his Ministry's Management Team to meet with the Management of SDKK prison to evaluate the situation at the Foreigners Reception and Detention Center (VODC) and come up with sustainable solutions. 

As it was reported yesterday, four undocumented individuals managed to escape from this facility after causing various destructions. The infrastructure and security measures, together with the Management and staff of VODC, will be evaluated. 

In the coming days, necessary adjustments will be made to raise the level of security without compromising regulations and international standards for the accommodation of undocumented individuals. 

The VODC is a facility in Curaçao that houses undocumented individuals who have been apprehended by authorities.
