WILLEMSTAD - Refineria di Kòrsou (RdK) finds it necessary to clarify some erroneous statements that are circulating in some communication media.
First of all, it is important to emphasize that at no time did the Public Prosecutor's Office approach RdK with any kind of authorization from the Attorney General to confiscate documents. It was at the time when RdK filed its complaint to the Public Prosecutor's Office, against one of the investors presented to CPR (Caribbean Petroleum Refinery), that RdK, at that time, handed over the reports, made by the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), to the prosecution.
Secondly, it is important to inform that RdK is not in a position to deliver the document requested by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) to the Public Prosecutor's Office in the case related to the business to find an operator for the refinery. RdK is also not in a position to know which institution or person delivered the document against it.
It must be emphasized that neither RdK nor its director misinformed Parliament at any time during meetings with Parliament. RdK regrets the incorrect report that is circulating.
