Main news | By Correspondent March 4, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - Public hearings conducted by the Hospital Nobo Otrobanda (KeHNO) inquiry committee are set to recommence in the week of March 11 after a brief hiatus. Eduard Braam, a Member of Parliament and the committee's chair, declared the pause on Friday evening, concluding the testimony of the last witness in the parliamentary chamber of Curaçao.

The initial sequence of hearings has already yielded valuable insights, with seventeen witnesses shedding light on the decision-making processes concerning the construction of the new hospital in Otrobanda. The committee expressed considerable satisfaction with the progress of the hearings and the cooperative demeanor of the witnesses.

The upcoming hearings on Monday, March 11, hold the promise of a more in-depth exploration of the responsibilities and decisions made during the construction process. Among the witnesses are several former government officials, whose identities will be revealed at a later time.
