WILLEMSTAD - The inquiry committee for the Hospital Nobo Otrobanda (HNO), investigating cost overruns in the construction of the new hospital in Otrobanda, is about to enter a new phase. Very soon, possibly as early as next week, the long-awaited public hearings will commence.
This announcement follows an intensive preparation period, during which the committee members have been conducting confidential interviews since December 2023 with key figures involved in the construction project. The purpose of these discussions was to gain a deeper understanding of the factors that led to the financial overruns of the hospital.
In order to be optimally prepared for the public hearings, the committee members have undergone a special training course on interrogation techniques. This training, covering essential skills and tactics for conducting effective interviews, is considered extremely valuable by the committee members.
The exact dates and details of the public hearings may be announced as early as Friday. These hearings are open to the public and promise to shed crucial light on the challenges and decision-making processes surrounding the construction of the Hospital Nobo Otrobanda.
