WILLEMSTAD – On Tuesday, February 12, 2025, the Council of Ministers received a presentation from the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten regarding the Caribbean Guilder. The focus of the presentation was on the security features of both the new banknotes and coins.
The presentation was delivered by Mrs. Leila Matroos-Lasten, Mr. Alvin Francisco, and Mrs. Nancy Guttenberg, who provided detailed information about the innovative security measures that are being implemented to ensure the integrity and reliability of the Caribbean Guilder in circulation.
This presentation marks an important step in the introduction of the updated currency, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining a secure and stable financial environment within the region.
