THE HAGUE – Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren has canceled her working visit to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom due to some technical issues with the aircraft with which she would visit the islands.
It concerns the 35-year-old Gulfstream of Defense who often has problems. In 2019, Ollongrens predecessor Bijleveld was stranded on the way to the Caribbean in the Azores. It had already been decided to replace the aircraft with a more modern used one.
Ollongren would make a tour of Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten, and Saba in 3 days. It is not known when the trip will take place.
