What the new currency will look like and who designs the Caribbean guilder has not been announced. There will be no design competition. The cost of the operation is estimated at fifteen million guilders and the designation ANG changes to XCG.

After the introduction of the new guilder, you can still pay for three months with the Antillean guilder, but you will receive Caribbean guilders as change. Anyone who withdraws money from an ATM will only receive new guilders. Until 2064 you can still hand in your old Antillean guilders to the Central Bank.

The exchange rate is one to one, with the Caribbean guilder, just like the Antillean guilder, worth 1.79 against the US dollar.
