MAN-PIN indignant! Pensioners and Ennia Employees left in insecurity

Main news | By Press release November 22, 2023

WILLEMSTAD – The MAN and PIN parties are extremely indignant as once again the government leaves Ennia pensioners in uncertainty, whether it involves cuts to their pensions, by what percentage, and also leaves employees unsure about their jobs and future.

After the Prime Minister met with Parliament regarding the danger Ennia's 25,000 insured pensioners face and the disastrous impact this has on our country, the Prime Minister promised to return to Parliament to provide an overview of the decision his government made to close Ennia.

Parliament requested the government to present different scenarios and possible calculations, as we were told, to keep Ennia open versus its decision to close it. MAN and PIN do not agree with closing Ennia and send people home!

It's unbelievable how, faced with such a serious issue that is a personal drama for 25,000 families, the Government chooses not to come to Parliament and abruptly cancels the meeting.
