WILLEMSTAD - This morning, the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George-Wout, on behalf of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, decorated 9 Curaçaoan citizens with Royal decorations during an official ceremony at the Governor's Palace in Fort Amsterdam. These decorations were awarded in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the community over the years. Their invaluable services have not gone unnoticed by their fellow citizens.

The following individuals have been decorated with Royal honors:
Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau Mrs. T.M. Kross, for her contributions in the field of opera, culture, and music education.
Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau Mr. R.H. Doest, for his contributions in the field of music and cultural heritage; Mr. N.F. Faneyte, for his contributions in the field of, among others, baseball and culture;
Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau Mrs. P.V. Ansano, for her contributions in the field of community cohesion, welfare, and religious life; Mr. C.R.E. Bronswinkel, for his contributions in the field of aviation and material heritage; Mr. R.A. Lucas, for his contributions in the field of religious life and poverty alleviation; Mrs. E.T. Perez-Specht, for her contributions in the field of, among others, religious life, elderly welfare, and poverty alleviation; Mr. V.A. Toré, for his contributions in the field of water sports; Mrs. L.M. de Windt, for her contributions in the field of religious life and poverty alleviation.
