NEW YORK - Curaçao participates in the World Water Conference of the United Nations. These will be held from March 22 to 24, 2023 in New York on the occasion of International Water Day.
The conference is unique as it is the first UN conference in fifty years on accelerating and maximizing the implementation of solutions to the challenges of water and climate adaptation.
Curaçao is represented by three delegates. The island will also host a side event for island communities from around the world.
Curaçao set up an integrated water management committee in 2016 and will work on solutions for the challenges in the field of water and climate adaptation during the conference.
The Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Republic of Tajikistan are the co-organizers of the event.
