WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas states that the government is making every effort to support its citizens currently residing in Israel. On Saturday, the Islamic movement Hamas carried out an attack in Israel, resulting in over 1,300 casualties. The exact number of Curaçaoan residents in Israel is unknown.

Information from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that the Dutch Embassy in Tel Aviv, in collaboration with the services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is offering assistance to individuals holding a Dutch passport, including Curaçaoans.

The Dutch Defense has deployed military aircraft to evacuate Dutch nationals, including residents from Curaçao, from the conflict area. These evacuations are scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The precise count of Curaçaoan residents in Israel or those currently staying there is currently undetermined. Curaçao is urging all residents with family members in Israel to take advantage of the assistance being provided. Individuals in possession of a valid Dutch passport can register on the Foreign Affairs Information Service website (nederlandwereldwijd.nl) or contact the following telephone number: +31 247 247 247.
