WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) hosted an educational event in Suriname for 57 participants, including travel agents, wholesalers, event travel specialists, and members of the media aimed at strengthening destination knowledge and increasing awareness of Curaçao’s diverse tourism offerings. The program featured an interactive destination presentation and a workshop designed to evaluate participants’ existing knowledge of Curaçao while providing updated information on the island’s tourism product, attractions, and upcoming events. The Curaçao delegation consisted of CTB and nine private sector partners, including accommodation providers and a tour operator.

To create an engaging and immersive learning experience, the event simulated the visitor journey from check-in to boarding a flight to Curaçao. Throughout the journey, participants engaged in a quiz, a presentation, and a workshop, providing them with an engaging experience of Curaçao from a traveler’s perspective. During the workshop, the participants worked together in small groups to develop tailored Curaçao vacation itineraries for different traveler profiles. This interactive format enabled participants to deepen their understanding of the destination while showcasing the wide range of experiences Curaçao has to offer.

By investing in destination education, CTB continues to strengthen its relationship with key tourism partners in Suriname. CTB thanks the private-sector partners who joined the Curaçao delegation: Brion City Hotel, Acoya Curaçao Resort, Villas & Spa, Fiesta Tours Curaçao, Courtyard by Marriott Curaçao, Papagayo Curaçao, Curaçao Vacations, Sunscape Curaçao Resort Spa & Casino, Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao and Sonesta Hotels & Livingstone Curaçao.
