WILLEMSTAD – Last weekend, Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and Sandals organized a trade activation around the friendly match between Scotland and Curaçao at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland. Held in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup, the event leveraged the excitement and visibility generated by Curaçao’s national football team, the Blue Wave, to highlight Curaçao’s tourism offerings to leading travel agents. For this occasion, 23 travel agents from Scotland attended an exclusive pre-match gathering, where they received information about Curaçao’s diverse attractions, accommodations, culture, and visitor experiences.
The informal session provided a valuable platform to strengthen relationships with travel trade partners while showcasing Curaçao. Set against the backdrop of an international sporting event, the activation successfully combined destination marketing with networking opportunities in an engaging and dynamic atmosphere.
