WILLEMSTAD - Blue NAP Americas (BNA) and Datasur have recently joined as the first members to establish the Caribbean Datacenter Association (CDA). The CDA aims to become the organization that unites data centers in the Caribbean, with the purpose of promoting the interests of data centers in the region and capitalizing on the collective strength they possess. This creates a network through which Content Delivery Networks can efficiently access users in the Caribbean. The Caribbean will no longer be viewed as 24 individual countries but as an economic bloc of around 40 million people.

On the same occasion, Blue NAP Americas has also become a member of the Caribbean Telecommunication Union. This provides Blue NAP Americas with a suitable platform to present and exchange ideas with decision-makers or those involved in shaping the direction of the Caribbean nations. It can be said that there are already countries that have shown interest in the propositions presented by Blue NAP Americas during the last CANTO conference.
Giovanni King, CEO of Blue NAP Americas, said, "Blue NAP Americas remains focused on creating a unique proposition that will contribute to the progress of both Curaçao and Data Centers. This can be achieved either through Curaçao's unique proposition, such as Digital Hub Americas, or through the collaboration of data centers in the Caribbean, known as Caribbean Datacenter Association."
King further explained that Blue NAP Americas is in discussions with submarine cable companies to create more internet connectivity alternatives for Curaçao. This will enhance Blue NAP Americas' functionality and Curaçao's connection with the world.
