SANTO DOMINGO - The man arrested in the Dominican Republic last Friday has been identified as Urvin Laurence Wawoe, aka Nuto. He is the second-in-command of the No Limit Soldiers gang from the Koraal Specht neighborhood in Curaçao.

According to Dominican media, two members of the Dutch mocro mafia were also arrested alongside Wawoe: Dennis Goedee (47) and Terence de Vries. Dennis is believed to be one of the key figures behind Ridouan Taghi.

Wawoe is suspected of involvement in multiple assassinations and murders that took place within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The NLS gang is also suspected of engaging in international drug trafficking for years.

In a coordinated operation, several raids were conducted in different parts of Sto Domingo. Urvin Laurence Wawoe was arrested in an apartment in Torre Villa Palmera. Dennis Goedee was arrested in a raid on an apartment in Ensanche Naco, while the third extraditable suspect, Terence Angelo Richard de Vries, attempted to escape.

Seven luxury vehicles, several expensive watches, jewelry, and a large amount of cash were seized during Wawoe's arrest.

Three Dominican officers were arrested during the operation for attempting to embezzle part of the seized money.

Nuto Wawoe was brought before a judicial officer who indicated that his provisional detention would be extended due to a total of seven charges against him. These include various murders, kidnappings, weapons and drug trafficking, money laundering, and bribery of officials.

The Curaçao Public Prosecutor's Office, which has requested extradition, says it knows nothing about the two mocro mafia arrests and is only focusing on the NLS.
