Travelers returning from Aruba and St Maarten may go into quarantine at home

WILLEMSTAD - Stranded Curaçaoans on Aruba and Sint Maarten can also go into home quarantine when they return. This is now possible starting tomorrow August 14. Interim Minister of Public Health Zita Jesus Leito and epidemiologist Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth announced this today during a special press conference.

Residents who need to come back from Aruba and Sint Maarten have recently been forced to quarantine when upon return. Some who are still in Aruba and St. Maarten indicated that they cannot afford this.

That is why an exception has been made for this. They must be at home 24/7, have the option of a video call and, if they are checked at home, be able to show through “location” that they are indeed in their house. Before traveling to Curaçao, they must register on the government website via this link.
