Hilton becomes Dreams Resort

WILLEMSTAD - After sixteen years, the Hilton flag will soon be lowered at Piscadera and the complex will continue as a more luxurious Dreams Resorts after a thorough renovation of 12 million dollars - while the hotel remains open and operational.

“It will be an all-inclusive resort," Rolf Sprecher said in an interview with the Dutch morning newspaper Antilliaans Dagblad on behalf of owner Alfredo Lowenstein in Miami, who owns Sunscape and Floris Suite Hotel in addition to the Hilton (soon to be Dreams) in Curaçao.

The Hilton flag, or after the upgrading expected at the end of this year, that of Dreams, is from the hotel organization hired by the owner to operate the hotel. It was agreed with Hilton on Monday afternoon to terminate the management contract on May 31. Lowenstein and Hilton joined forces in March 2003.

So now that is coming to an end and Dreams will replace it. Dreams is part of AMResorts that uses different "brands", of which Dreams is one and also Sunscape. AMResorts is owned by the Apple Leisure Group (ALG).
