Gasoline, diesel, water and electricity will soon be cheaper

WILLEMSTAD - As of Wednesday, January 2, 2019, the rates of gasoline and diesel will drop in Curaçao. Water and electricity will also become cheaper, starting on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

This is reported by the Bureau Telecommunication and Post (BT & P) in its monthly press release. Gasoline goes from 2,055 to 1,944 per liter. Diesel goes from 1,582 per liter to 1,435. Propane gas remains the same in price: 65 guilders for a large cylinder, 13 guilders for a small one.

The basic domestic rate of electricity goes from rounded 59 cents per kilo-watt to 55.5 cents. For water, about 13 cents per cubic meter will be paid less: almost 8 guilders now, soon less than 7.87 guilders.
