COVID-19 update: “3rd imported case registered. Curaçao stands now at 19 confirmed corona cases”

WILLEMSTAD - A new coronavirus infection has been registered. This was announced today by epidemiologist Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth during a press conference. This time it is also about a person who was already in quarantine and recently returned to Curaçao.

“This is the reason why we cannot return now to 3 flights a day from Europe or daily flights to and from the United States. It can get out of hand and we will not be able to control the number of corona cases on our island. It now concerns a relatively small group of people who may be infected and that is because we have it under control, the people are in travel-related quarantine,” says Dr. Gerstenbluth.
