WILLEMSTAD - The new State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization, Zsolt Szabó, has identified two priorities within the Kingdom Relations portfolio: good governance and solid financial management. According to him, these are essential for greater "self-reliance" for the islands. In an interview, the new state secretary stated that over the next four years, he will focus on the economic development of the islands. The PVV politician recently visited our island and reflects on a very successful visit.
The State Secretary said, "I'm not a leader who just writes up nice policy documents that look interesting but are not followed through. I want to work on concrete results and have no interest in policy without a solid foundation. Everything we do over the next four years must deliver results. Right now, we're discussing the national package. It's tough work, and we can debate it endlessly. But for me, only one thing matters: our policy must deliver concrete results."
