WILLEMSTAD - On Saturday, the Marine Youth Rangers of Carmabi Education organized a Clean Up at Piscaderabaai on the side of Jack Evertzberg and removed 270 kilograms of waste. Carmabi shared this information on Facebook.
In collaboration with volunteers and rangers from Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park and Curaçao Marine Park, they cleaned up waste from the coastline and mangroves.
“Litter is not only unsightly but also poses a danger to animals in their habitat. Our turtles and coastal birds can mistake floating plastic for food and ingest it. Additionally, animals can get entangled in the litter,” stated Carmabi.
