Working visit by Financial Supervision Act Evaluation Committee

WILLEMSTAD - On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the Evaluation Committee of the Kingdom Financial Supervision Act (Rft) paid a working visit to the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George-Wout. The primary focus of the visit was to discuss the ongoing evaluation of the Kingdom Financial Supervision Act. 

The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including Ms. Inge Mulders, the General Secretary of the Rft, Mr. Kees van Nieuwamerongen, a member representing the Netherlands, Ms. Gea van Craaikamp, the Chair of the Rft Evaluation Committee, Mr. Sherwin Casper, a member representing Curaçao, and Ms. Helma Etnel, a member representing Sint Maarten. 

Discussions during the visit revolved around the effectiveness and impact of the Kingdom Financial Supervision Act, as well as potential improvements and adjustments to the legislation. This evaluation is a crucial step in ensuring that the financial supervision mechanisms within the Kingdom are robust and effective. 

Governor Lucille George-Wout welcomed the committee members and expressed her support for the ongoing evaluation process. The insights gathered during this meeting will contribute to a comprehensive review of the Act, aiming to enhance financial oversight and governance within the Kingdom.
