WILLEMSTAD – The body of a woman was discovered floating in the water near the Mega Pier on Tuesday morning. Police received a call about the incident at approximately 6:55 a.m.

According to authorities, the body was already in a state of decomposition when it was found. Firefighters were called to the scene and recovered the remains from the water.

At 8:03 a.m., a police physician formally confirmed the woman’s death.

By order of the public prosecutor, the body has been seized for further investigation. The woman’s identity has not yet been released, and the cause of death remains under examination.
