Woman Attacked by Bee Swarm While Walking Dog in Curaçao Neighborhood

WILLEMSTAD – A woman was attacked by a swarm of bees Tuesday morning while walking her dog along Brigadiersweg on Curaçao. Despite attempting to flee and find shelter, she was stung multiple times before help arrived.

Police were quickly dispatched to the scene and provided assistance. Upon investigation, officers discovered that the swarm had originated from an abandoned house nearby. A professional beekeeper was called in and successfully removed the bees.

This incident is the latest in a series of aggressive bee encounters reported on the island in recent weeks.

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant. Anyone who spots aggressive bee activity is advised to immediately contact the police and avoid disturbing the insects.
