WILLEMSTAD - The popular appliance store Wimco is now really bankrupt. The management has requested this, and the judge has now appointed an administrator. He will look for a takeover candidate.

The company had already announced it would close its doors before Christmas. The reason is the declining sales and high costs to keep the nearly 50 employees working. Wimco was for 91 years a big name in Curaçao in household appliances.
