WILLEMSTAD – Regrettably, the Ministry of Traffic, Transport, and Urban Planning (VVRP) has observed that in recent days, individuals working in the public transport sector have threatened civil servants of the Traffic and Transport Service (UOVV). These individuals have gone so far as to enter the private space of the civil servants in question while making threats concerning the processing of their permits.
The government does not tolerate this behavior. The civil servants have reported these actions to the police. VVRP indicates that when it can be ascertained who is directly responsible for these actions, they will be taken to court, and their permits may be revoked. By doing this, these individuals will no longer be able to work in the public transport sector. This will be done in close cooperation with the police. Such behavior is entirely unacceptable.
VVRP issues a serious warning against such actions. From now on, permits will be revoked for anyone who behaves in this manner.
