WILLEMSTAD - Water and electricity prices will increase on November 1. Water will cost nearly 12 cents more per cubic meter, and electricity will slightly increase, by almost one and a half cents per kilowatt-hour. This information comes from the Bureau of Telecommunications and Post.
The price for the first nine cubic meters of water will rise from 9.16 guilders to 9.27 guilders. For consumption between nine and twelve cubic meters, you'll pay 14.42 guilders for those three cubic meters. For consumption between twelve and twenty cubic meters, you'll pay 16.36 guilders for the extra cubic meters. For consumption above twenty cubic meters, you'll pay almost 18.33 guilders.
As for electricity, the price for the first 250 kilowatt-hours will increase by almost 70 cents as of November 1. Currently, it is just over 68 cents. Those who consume more will pay more per delivered unit of electricity. The next one hundred kilowatt-hours will cost almost 80 cents, up from 79 cents. For higher consumption, you will pay nearly 85 cents for the additional usage.
