WILLEMSTAD - The Meteorological Service Curaçao (Meteo) issued another weather warning on Wednesday. The code yellow applies from Wednesday evening 11 p.m. to Thursday afternoon 3 p.m.
The Meteo warns of rain and thunderstorms that can lead to local flooding. In addition, strong wind gusts can occur. The weather service also expects high waves on the south and west coasts, which could damage boats and facilities on the beach.
The Meteo warns not to use electrical equipment during thunderstorms and to remove plugs from sockets. It is also recommended to bring pets to a safe place and avoid flooded roads.
A weather warning was also issued on Wednesday morning. The code orange was withdrawn later in the day.
