WILLEMSTAD - Under the leadership of the Kunuku Man, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help keep Curaçao clean following the recent Siman Di Kultura. The cleanup effort focused on the Soto area, where they, along with a group of students, collected a significant amount of waste totaling 112 kilograms.
Nine volunteers, including six students, collected 345 empty beer bottles, weighing 69 kilograms, which were sent for recycling. They also gathered 75 aluminum cans (1 kilogram) and 300 plastic bottles (6 kilograms), along with 4 kilograms of other plastic items. After sorting, 32 kilograms of residual waste were taken to the landfill.
Kunuku Man has once again called on anyone interested in contributing to a cleaner, waste-free Curaçao to reach out via phone or WhatsApp at +5999 5638674.
