Visit of Executive Director of IMF to Council of Ministers

WILLEMSTAD - On May 15, 2024, Mr. Paul Hilbers, Executive Director and Governor representing the Kingdom at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), delivered a presentation to the Council of Ministers as part of a three-day working visit to Curaçao (May 15th to 17th). 

The IMF plays a significant advisory role for Curaçao in the areas of financial-economic stability, growth, and poverty reduction by strengthening good policies and institutional capacity. During his presentation, Mr. Hilbers discussed the role that the IMF can play in the socio-economic and financial development of Curaçao. 

The meeting between Mr. Hilbers and the Council of Ministers provided an opportunity for the exchange of insights and policy advice, which are crucial for the further development of Curaçao. 

During his visit, Mr. Hilbers was accompanied by Mrs. Carlijn Eijking, advisor for the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
