WILLEMSTAD - On August 20, 2024, the Curaçao Center for Detention and Correction (SDKK) hosted a visit from a delegation from the Netherlands as well as from Curaçao. The delegation consisted of members of the Dutch House of Representatives from the Justice and Security Committee, Curaçao parliamentarians from the Justice Committee, and Dutch Representative to Curaçao Mr. Edson Hato and his team.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the visitors with the structure and operations of SDKK through a presentation and to provide a tour of the facility.
During the tour, which included blocks 6, 3, 2, FOBA, 8a, and the Vocational Building (OVT), the visitors had the opportunity to interact with the clients of the blocks they visited.
The management of SDKK expressed great satisfaction in hosting the Dutch House of Representatives’ Justice and Security Committee, as well as the Curaçao parliamentarians and Dutch representatives in Curaçao.
