Vidanova Mastercard Debit Cards Temporarily Unusable at Banco di Caribe ATMs

Local | By Correspondent April 1, 2025

WILLEMSTAD Vidanova Bank customers are currently unable to use their Mastercard debit cards at Banco di Caribe ATMs due to a technical issue affecting communication between the two banks' systems. Banco di Caribe has indicated that resolving the problem could take up to ten days.

In a statement, Vidanova reassured customers that their debit cards remain fully functional elsewhere: "Clients do not need to worry about using their cards at other payment terminals. The card works as usual at all other local and international ATMs, point-of-sale terminals, and for online purchases."

Both banks are collaborating to fix the issue, but in the meantime, customers are advised to carry alternative payment methods when making transactions at Banco di Caribe terminals.

Vidanova apologized for the inconvenience and clarified that the disruption stems from an external system issue. The bank emphasized that it is doing everything possible to ensure secure and reliable service for its customers.
