UTS, Flow join Curacao Carnival

Leading telecom companies to provide superfast mobile and internet services

WILLEMSTAD - Leading telecommunication providers UTS and Flow have thrown their support behind this month’s Curacao Carnival as it celebrates its Golden Jubilee.

The two companies, which are both owned by Liberty Latin America, are teaming up with the JAG Foundation to promote and support local culture by way of a significant sponsorship package that includes state-of-the-art connectivity with superfast mobile and internet services throughout the carnival.

“Our companies, both UTS and Flow, are a key part of the social fabric of the Dutch Caribbean and especially Curacao, so we are very happy to support this national event that provides a platform for our people to showcase their talents and cultural vibrancy,” said Danny Macaya, Country Manager, Dutch Caribbean.

“As we come together to celebrate our heritage, we also look towards a bright future filled with telecommunication connections that enable our continued progress. Our ultimate hope is to facilitate the delivery of the incredible sights and sounds of Curacao Carnival to as wide an audience as possible.”

UTS and Flow, along with their respective consumer brands Chippe and Flow, will be highly visible during Curacao Carnival and revellers and spectators are being encouraged to engage the teams about their exciting products and services.

Curacao Carnival, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will officially get underway on Sunday with the Children’s Parade, while the Farewell Parade is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25th.
