WILLEMSTAD – The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Vigilant (WMEC-617) has docked in Curaçao for a scheduled port and liberty call, reaffirming the United States' ongoing commitment to maritime security and regional cooperation in the Caribbean.
The Vigilant, a 210-foot medium endurance cutter, serves as a key asset in the U.S. Coast Guard’s efforts to combat drug trafficking, conduct search and rescue operations, and enforce maritime law throughout the region. Its visit to Curaçao marks a continued effort by the U.S. to strengthen partnerships with Caribbean allies, including the Dutch Caribbean island.

During their stay, the crew members will participate in cultural exchanges and community engagement activities, taking the opportunity to explore Curaçao’s rich heritage, vibrant local life, and strong maritime tradition.
