Uniarte Enters New Phase, Moves Headquarters to Landhuis Bloemhof

Local, | By Correspondent February 11, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Art platform Uniarte is entering a new phase with the relocation of its main activities to Landhuis Bloemhof, where a new headquarters will be established.

From its new base at Bloemhof, Uniarte aims to create more space for artistic experimentation, residencies, workshops and public programming. The move also marks the beginning of a closer collaboration with Bloemhof. The two organizations have signed a three-year agreement to formalize their partnership.

According to Uniarte, the collaboration is intended to contribute to Curaçao’s cultural development while strengthening Bloemhof as a meeting place for artists, curators and other creative thinkers. The new headquarters will serve not only as a workspace but also as a hub for exchange, dialogue and artistic innovation.

At the same time, Uniarte is expanding its team as part of this transition. Founder Sharelly Emanuelson is stepping back from daily management duties and will continue in a governance role as a board member. The organization says this decision is intended to create space for new cultural facilitators and curators to take on leadership roles.

Nicole van Beusekom has already joined the team as a new staff member. She will focus on project coordination, creative production and community-based initiatives.

Uniarte has also announced an open vacancy for a part-time junior position aimed at individuals active in the arts and culture sector or those looking to develop in that direction. The position includes mentorship, professional growth opportunities and support for developing personal artistic ideas.
