WILLEMSTAD - On Saturday morning, June 29, 2024, at approximately 04:26 AM, a traffic accident occurred on Comanchestraat. A vehicle carrying two occupants collided with a wall. Upon arrival, the police determined that the driver, a man of Colombian nationality without legal residency papers, was under the influence of alcohol. 

Due to the injuries he sustained, he was transported by ambulance to the Emergency Department of C.M.C. for medical treatment, after which he was arrested. 

The female passenger, who also resides on the island without legal residency papers, was immediately taken to the Immigration Department, where she was presented to a judicial officer. Subsequently, she was detained pending deportation. The vehicle in which the pair were traveling was seized.
