WILLEMSTAD - Fishermen have caught two large sharks some fifty meters from the sea barrier at Mambo Beach.

Both sharks are at least two meters long. The fishermen took the sharks, but what happened afterwards is unknown.

Earlier this year, Coast Guard spokesman Shalick Clement announced that in Curaçao it is allowed to fish most sharks.

Since 2017, there has been a ban on catching the hammerhead shark.
