WILLEMSTAD - Two individuals tragically lost their lives in separate traffic accidents on Curaçao in less than 24 hours. Yesterday, a man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital after being involved in a head-on collision on Argentinaweg earlier in the day. During the night, another fatality occurred on Helmin Wiels boulevard involving a car driver.
The most recent incident took place around 3 a.m. near Pali Mangel Resort, where a motorist lost control of their vehicle and collided with a palm tree in the median. The impact was so severe that the tree was uprooted, and the black Honda CRV involved was extensively damaged.
The identity of the victim in the latest accident has not yet been established.
Cyclist
The cyclist who was struck by a car on Argentinaweg has sadly passed away while receiving intensive care. The victim was a man known for regularly cycling in the Jan Noorduynweg area. As of now, his family has not been informed of the tragedy, which is why the victim's identity has not been disclosed.
