WILLEMSTAD – Early Monday morning, around 2:00 AM, the Curaçao police stopped a motorcycle during a routine check on Bargestraat. The two men on the motorcycle, both Colombian nationals, were found to be illegally present on the island, according to a police statement released today. 

Both individuals were arrested for violating the Admission and Deportation Law and were presented to an Immigration assistant officer. The officer has decided to keep them in custody while awaiting their deportation. 

The motorcycle was seized for further investigation. Authorities continue to take action against illegal immigration as part of ongoing efforts to maintain border security.
