SCHIPHOL - TUI is transporting a total of 30,000 travelers back to the Netherlands. The recall of nearly 7,000 travelers in Spain and 400 in Morocco is a priority, the travel agency reports.
Earlier in the day, TUI Netherlands already announced that it would no longer fly travelers to their holiday destination with immediate effect, at least until March 31.
Currently, 30,000 TUI and Kras travelers worldwide are at their holiday destination. "Some of them can just fly home on the planned original flight and some we will bring back early with extra flights," reports TUI Netherlands.
Travelers who have not yet departed from the Netherlands will receive a voucher with which they can still book a holiday from the offer of TUI or Kras at a later stage. "What happens to holidays with a departure date between March 31 and April 15, we will announce by March 25 at the latest."
For travelers who are currently staying at their holiday destination, including Curaçao, TUI fly will continue to operate the return flight to the Netherlands. “Every traveler is personally informed as soon as possible. Travelers who wish to return home early can do so insofar as seats are available on previous return flights,” said the company.
