TUI places 55 charging stations for electric cars on ABC islands

Local | By Correspondent December 21, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - TUI will place 55 charging points for electric cars in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao from next spring. The travel organization announced this at a press conference. In collaboration with the local company Dynaf, thirty charging stations are added in Curaçao, fifteen in Aruba, and ten in Bonaire.

TUI has raised a large amount in the Netherlands and Belgium in the past year through the concept of "Fair Travel". Every traveler who travels a Fair Travel contributes two euros and Tui adds two euros.

The travel organization wants to encourage the sustainability of travel and ensure that tourism remains of added value for the islands and the local population. According to TUI, investing in sustainability is a necessity.

The charging stations will be placed in various places, both at hotels and at "logical" locations and supermarkets and popular tourist hotspots. There are also a few charging stations with a so-called Solar carport in places where electricity is not available like some beaches.
