WILLEMSTAD - TUI, the renowned tour operator, is making significant strides in promoting sustainable transportation with the installation of the first charging station as part of its ambitious project to establish 55 charging stations across the ABC islands. The company made this exciting announcement on Monday through an official press release.

The inaugural charging station is conveniently situated in the parking lot of TUI's office on Schottegatweg, providing customers with a convenient and accessible location to charge their electric vehicles. In addition to this development, TUI has also acquired its own electric car, which is efficiently utilized by staff for work-related travel purposes.
By undertaking this substantial investment, TUI aims to play a pivotal role in enhancing the sustainability efforts of the islands while actively encouraging the adoption of electric transportation. With the progressive shift towards cleaner and greener forms of mobility, TUI is committed to fostering a more environmentally friendly tourism industry.
Over the course of the project, a total of thirty charging stations will be strategically installed across Curaçao, including prominent locations such as the Avila Beach Hotel, Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort, and Van der Tweel. These stations will provide locals and tourists alike with the convenience of charging their electric vehicles, enabling them to explore the island while minimizing their carbon footprint.
Furthermore, TUI's commitment to sustainability extends beyond Curaçao. The remaining charging stations are slated for installation on Bonaire and Aruba in the coming months. This comprehensive network of charging infrastructure will facilitate the growth and adoption of electric vehicles throughout the ABC islands, creating a more sustainable and eco-conscious transportation ecosystem.
