SCHIPHOL - TUI fly is adapting a number of triangle routes to the Caribbean. As a result, Montego Bay (Jamaica) and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) will be flown via Curaçao as a stopover in the coming winter season.
TUI confirms this after reporting by Routes Online. Last winter, Montego Bay and Punta Cana were served together in a triangular flight, and Punta Cana was also combined with Aruba. Now the flight schedule becomes as follows:
Amsterdam - Curaçao - Montego Bay - Amsterdam (1x / week)
Amsterdam - Curaçao - Punta Cana - Amsterdam (1x / week)
Amsterdam - Punta Cana - Curaçao - Amsterdam (1x / week)
The fact that flights are now via Curaçao are due to “changes in market demand”. The flights will only continue if a negative travel advice no longer applies. "We do not bring travelers to destinations with an orange travel advice," said a spokeswoman.
TUI fly uses a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on the flights. It is not possible to buy a single ticket between Curaçao and Montego Bay / Punta Cana.
