WILLEMSTAD - TUI Dutch Caribbean organized a second-hand market on Saturday at its headquarters in Zeelandia, offering visitors the chance to purchase used clothing and toys while supporting a meaningful cause: Aliansa Curaçao, the organization that provides assistance to victims of domestic violence.
The market marked the conclusion of a donation drive held throughout October and November, during which community members were invited to donate gently used items. The event drew a strong turnout, with many visitors finding affordable items and giving numerous products a second life.
“We are incredibly proud of our team’s enthusiasm and the great public response,” said Antoin Klein Hofmeijer, Head of TUI Dutch Caribbean. “It’s wonderful to see how we can make a positive impact on the community while also promoting sustainability through reuse.”
Thanks to the combined efforts of staff, donors, and visitors, the initiative raised 1,392 Caribbean guilders for Aliansa Curaçao.
TUI Dutch Caribbean expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed — whether by donating goods, helping with the organization, or simply attending the event.
