Trips Members of Parliament continue

Local | By Correspondent November 10, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Despite the decision last month to stop the trips, there are still Members of Parliament who are submitting new requests.

Yesterday, for example, a proposal was made in the Assembly for a trip to St. Eustatius for Statia Day. Kingdom Affairs Committee chairman Amerigo Thodé will travel to the island for two days, along with Registrar Silvin Cijntje. PAR member of parliament Zita Jesus-Leito questions the trip and asks why money is suddenly available again for business trips.

President of Parliament America-Francisca explains that new budgets were released halfway through the year. This year, another business trip is planned to Panama for a Parlatino meeting.
