WILLEMSTAD – A tragic incident occurred in Fuik, where two individuals were attacked by bees, resulting in the death of one of the victims, according to multiple local media reports. 

The attack happened while one of the individuals was performing work-related tasks and accidentally disturbed a beehive. Emergency services responded swiftly and administered medical assistance at the scene. Unfortunately, one of the victims did not survive the attack and was declared deceased shortly after. 

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Further details regarding the identities of the victims or the exact cause of death have not yet been released. 

The public is advised to exercise caution when working in areas where bee activity is suspected, and to report large hives to the relevant authorities for safe removal.
