WILLEMSTAD - Minister Charles Cooper, together with the Public Works Service (OW), announces that starting Saturday, May 13, the intersection of Kaya W.F.G. Mensing/Kaminda Andre J.E. Kusters in the Zeelandia area will reopen. OW has made several adjustments to the traffic situation to enhance traffic safety.
The following changes will be implemented:
● There will be a speed bump on Kaya W.F.G. Mensing. It will be located right in front of Kooyman Zeelandia and Candy Barrel.
● Traffic coming from Kaminda Andre J.E. Kusters, heading from Van Den Tweel Supermarket towards the intersection of Kaminda Andre J.E. Kuster/Kaya W.F.G Mensing, will be required to turn right. It will no longer be allowed to turn left towards Kooyman.
● Cargo vehicles traveling on Kaya W.F.G Mensing, going downhill and passing in front of Kooyman, must continue straight. It is prohibited for cargo vehicles to turn left into Kaminda Andre J.E. Kusters.
● Cargo vehicles coming from Kaminda Andre J.E Kuster, originating from Van Den Tweel Supermarket, will be required to turn right at the intersection of Kaminda Andre J.E. Kuster/Castorweg and enter Castorweg. This is the entrance of Home Plus. It is prohibited for cargo vehicles to continue straight.
● Cargo vehicles coming from Castorweg, upon reaching the intersection of Kaminda Andre J. E. Kuster/Castorweg, will be required to turn left and head towards Van Den Tweel.
Road signs will be placed to illustrate the mentioned changes. Motorists are urged to take these changes into account.
